Dog Help Without a Vet – How To Get Information

If you keep looking for dog books at sales, or get some from the library you can often get valuable information. These books give a quick reference.
A slower way is to search vets that are online. Sometimes you can register at a vet website and ask questions at that website, but it may take a few days before you get an answer. You can also go through some of the questions that have already been asked and will often get relevant information.
Some of the questions you might want to ask are common ones and people who have taken a dog to the vet might have some information for you. For instance dogs sometimes suffer from kidney problems in older age and you might get information about a diet that can help.
Another way is to search for a group concerned with dogs. In Yahoo Groups, for example, there is a group called Do More For Dogs and the URL is http://advision.webevents.yahoo.com/domorefordogs/ On this site many questions are posed and you can easily pose your own by posting to the group. I have found that the answer can come fairly quickly and you might get quite a few answers from various members of the group. You can get a lot of emails coming in, but you can choose to receive no emails and just go to their site to see the posts.
For a free song about neutering and so on you can visit http://www.ilike.com/artist/Swayseeker/ and download the free mp3 called Four Paws. The words are in the first blog post of the above page and I hope various artists perform this song at pet shows and so forth (I am the composer). This mp3 can also be emailed to municipalities (hopefully along with the words) to remind them of dog problems in the city (it is a fairly small mp3 file).
